Sweeping Up

Let's not let those quick sights and insights get lost in the hubbub of right now.  This space will be a catch-all for things I don't want to lose.

I saw this work by Banksy in Paris. I don't know how long the exhibit runs, but I recommend it highly.  I loved this image of sweeping things under the rug or in this case under the wallpaper (?).

In one way, I look at this image and I think about housecleaning and just hiding the last of the sweepings.  The woman in the maid's uniform looks as though she's been caught.  Such a temptation to be done with this chore and go on to something else.  She looks suspicious and defiant, so it's not us who will require her to clean up this mess as well.  What are we going to do about it?

In another way, I think that I could use that same hiding place to keep treasures.
